How
Chubb protects producer's and customers information
and policy data
Chubb
incorporates five levels of powerful electronic security
measures, using industry-standard encryption technology
and additional proprietary measures, to help safeguard
your financial and insurance related information. These
are:
- Data
Encryption (40-bit). Encryption technology allows
the secure exchange of information along the Internet.
This is accomplished by encoding the information using
a mathematical formula that scrambles the data. Only
your browser and @chubb. can decipher the information
which is otherwise unrecognizable text and therefore
rendered unusable.
-
Personal User Identification Code. Your personal user
identification and password must be entered every
time you sign-in to @chubb. Remember, always keep
your user identification and password confidential
and never store it on your personal computer. @chubb.
identification numbers are assigned to individuals
that have been specifically granted access to our
systems. Identification numbers are randomly generated
at the time of initial set-up and individuals must
assign a unique password upon their first use of the
system.
- Personalized
Menu. Each personal identification number is assigned
to specific applications within @chubb. family. Once
your identification number and password has been authenticated
by the system you will be presented with a menu of
applications that you have been specifically granted
access.
-
Access to Information. Each personal identification
number is assigned specific key information that allows
our applications to determine if you are authorized
to access specific producer and/or policy level information.
This safeguards that producers will only be able to
see information for their specific agency and their
clients. Clients will only be able to see information
on their specific policies. At times certain third
parties may request access to policyholder information.
Access to these third parties is at the sole discretion
of Chubb, our producers and/or the policyholder.
-
Automatic Time Out. When there is no activity for
a designated amount of time, Chubb will politely expire
your current @chubb. session and ask you to "Log On"
again. Inactive session timeout helps protect you
against unauthorized access.
How
does Chubb use Cookies within the @chubb?
